Through its one-of-a-kind fellowship program, the Center for Innovation and Leadership in Special Education (CILSE) is training future leaders in the field of special education. Fellows are immersed in a full-time, interdisciplinary, mentored program centered on the neuroscience of learning, principles of behavior change, school law, and methods of scientific and educational inquiry.
A unique partnership with Towson University enables CILSE to offer its fellows the credits necessary to attain the Administrator certification in the state of Maryland securing opportunities for positive leadership in our schools. CILSE also engages in community outreach projects aimed at improving outcomes for students with disabilities through professional development, technical assistance, and digital resources dissemination.
