MCDD ROAR Team 2020
We need your support!
The Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities is one of a national network of University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities funded by the Administration for Community Living.
Our mission is to provide leadership that advances the inclusion of people with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities.
We link the community to vital research and information to improve the lives of people with disabilities through four core functions:
• Interdisciplinary Pre-Service Training and Continuing Education
• Community Service and Technical Assistance
• Research and Evaluation
• Information Sharing/Dissemination
This spring, the MCDD will be taking a part in the Kennedy Krieger Institute’s ROAR for Kids. All funds raised by our team will contribute to accessible and affordable transportation for self-advocates to participate in state and national policy and legislative meetings and events.
About ROAR for Kids
ROAR for Kids is a 5k run, low mileage fun walk, and family festival dedicated to raising much-needed funds for research and programs to help kids at Kennedy Krieger Institute.
When you are finished running or walking be sure to take a break and checkout the wide variety of fun activities and entertainment at our family festival! And for those of you who can't drag yourself out of bed or want to participate from afar, you can register to Snore for ROAR.
