ROAR for Kids 2021

Center for Autism-Dream Team

We need your support

The Center for Autism Dream Team will be taking part once again in Kennedy Krieger Institute's annual ROAR for Kids. Employees, community members, friends and families of the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) are all welcome to join our team or create your own!

This year CARD is seeking funds for intervention materials for our Infant Development Public Health Initiative. This program seeks to help under-resourced, minority communities access evidence-based intervention services that foster children’s social and communication skills for infants and young toddlers ages 8-14 months. Families will be coached by a developmental specialist in how to use specific strategies during hands-on play with their children. We will use a telehealth model of service delivery in order to reach families in their naturalistic home environment. We will use the funds raised from ROAR to purchase developmentally appropriate toys for 10 children/families.

Please help us reach our goal! For more information on our program, please visit kennedykrieger.org/CARD or call 443-923-7595

About ROAR for Kids

As a result of the COVID-19 outbreak and to keep our community safe, ROAR for Kids 2021 is again going to be a virtual fundraising experience, but with some added fun!

As we enter our second year unable to host a traditional event, we approach 2021 with innovation and creativity, bringing to this year new experiences and opportunities! This year, ROAR will be a hybrid event, allowing participants, patients and families to come together online and, for just a moment, in person. ROAR will kick off with a drive-through event for our patients and families to celebrate, followed by a weeklong schedule of virtual events, and ending with our virtual walk/run on Saturday, May 22.  Thank you for joining us as we raise much-needed funds for research and programs to help kids at Kennedy Krieger Institute.
