We are always looking for creative individuals, groups, and organizations to help increase the holiday spirit by becoming designers at Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Festival of Trees! Anyone can participate and all are welcome, but the number of designers that come to decorate will be limited this year..

This year we are offering the opportunity to be the designer for the following items: 7- Foot Tree, 4- Foot Tree, and Wreath. Designers will be limited to one tree or wreath this year. Space is limited so sign-up soon!

Creations are considered a donation to the Festival of Trees. Each design will be priced for the public to purchase, thus raising money for the children of Kennedy Krieger Institute. During this trying time, we appreciate your support more than ever.

Tree Designers

Want to design a tree? This year, you can choose from 2 different sizes: 7- Foot or 4- Foot. Trees can be decorated with any style or theme you choose, so let your imagination run wild! Designers will be responsible for providing all decorating and display materials for their tree. Kennedy Krieger Institute will provide all artificial trees and tree stands (These must be used, no substitutions allowed). Designers will be encouraged to decorate as much of their tree as possible at home this year. We are hoping to hold our designers days (date TBD), however due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, designers should be aware that it is a possibility they will not be allowed to decorate their items on site. The following registration fees are setup for anyone choosing to decorate a tree and must be paid at time of registration.

Wreath Designers

Anyone can create a wreath on their own time at home to be displayed and sold at Festival of Trees. This is always a fun seasonal activity for everyone involved! To be a wreath designer at Festival of Trees you can decorate at home and just drop off your item at the State Fairgrounds during designated designer days prior to the event opening. You, as a designer, are responsible for supplying your own artificial or dried wreath and all decorating/display materials. All items should be included as part of the donation to Kennedy Krieger Institute.
