Baltimore Running Festival 2023

Shane Horn

I need your support

This October, I will be participating on Team Kennedy Krieger in the Baltimore Running Festival. The funds raised from the Team Kennedy Krieger will support our rehabilitation programs, in which aggressive, innovative therapies help individuals with disorders and injuries of the brain and spinal cord recover. In addition, funds will support the training needs of patients with disabilities through the funding of adaptive sports, scholarships, new therapy equipment and participation in marathons. Recreational activities are often overlooked for individuals with disabilities, but Kennedy Krieger recognizes the important benefits—including improved health, self-esteem, social connections and community reintegration—of exercise for its patients.

With this fundraiser, we aim to increase the number of Kennedy Krieger patients who are able to participate in races each year, open the door to improved physical fitness for those with disabilities, and fund research towards a cure for paralysis.

Thank you for sharing our vision!

I appreciate your support as I participate in this amazing fundraising opportunity.
