Baltimore City's Inner Harbor

Where is the expo? What are the expo hours?

We will have our packet pick up on Friday, October 13th before/during the Pasta Party. If you cannot make the Pasta Party, you can pick it up on the day of the race at the Kennedy Krieger tent.

Who does the race benefit?

The funds raised from the Kennedy Krieger Institute Baltimore Running Festival team will support our rehabilitation programs, in which aggressive, innovative therapies help individuals with disorders and injuries of the brain and spinal cord recover. In addition, funds will support the training needs of patients with disabilities who participate in the event, through the funding of adaptive sports, scholarships, new therapy equipment and participation in marathons across the country. Recreational activities are often overlooked for individuals with disabilities, but Kennedy Krieger recognizes the important benefits—including improved health, self-esteem, social connections and community reintegration—of exercise for its patients.

With this charity team, we aim to increase the number of Kennedy Krieger patients who are able to participate in the races each year, open the door to improved physical fitness for those with disabilities, and fund research towards a cure for paralysis. Thank you for sharing our vision!

I have formed a team. How does my fundraising differ?

This can be done in a variety of ways. One person can raise the money for the entire team, each individual can still be responsible for their own goal, or all gifts can be made directly to the team page. The team total is calculated by all the gifts that have been made to the team and each individual's fundraising pages. If the team does not reach their collective fundraising goal, the individuals who have not reached their goal will be charged the difference.
